Viewing tower of the Church of the Assumption

The 101-metre high tower is the third highest historic sacred tower in Poland. 300 stairs lead to its top. There are four observation decks prepared for tourists, with teleoptical equipment and information boards giving the history of the tower and the church. From the tower you can see a panorama of the Góry Sowie mountains, the Wzgórza Bielawskie hills, and even the Masyw Ślęża massif. The tower was adapted to tourist traffic needs in 2007 thanks to funds obtained from the Integrated Operational Programme for the Regional Development of the Dolnośląskie Voivodeship. The modernisation works were praised by the jury of the “MODERNISATION OF THE YEAR 2007” National Competition; the church tower in Bielawa won the main prize in the category: “Sacred buildings”. Admission tickets to the tower are available at the Tourist Information Centre. During the summer holidays there is a race to the church tower.
